Connie Geimer, CRNP, ACNP-BC, ENP-BC, FNP-BC is a nurse practitioner who works with patients age 2 years and up to provide primary and urgent care services to maintain a healthy happy life. Connie believes that patients deserve to be listened to and treated with compassion. Over the last 20 years in the nursing profession, Connie has garnered the respect of the patients of Cherokee, Calhoun, Etowah, Dekalb and Floyd County and fellow nurse practitioners and healthcare providers by providing evidence based compassionate care.
Connie was born in Centre, Alabama at Centre Hospital. She is a graduate of Cedar Bluff High School. Connie was inspired to go into healthcare by her grandparents at a very young age, she remembers being in a beauty pageant at age 6 and stating she wanted to be a nurse. Connie holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing with a specialty in Acute Care from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Post Masters Family Practice certificate from University of South Alabama in Mobile. She is triple board Certified. She holds a Family Nurse Practitioner Certification, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification and Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification.
As a new graduate, Connie worked at UCLA Medical Center in the critical care units, when she moved home to be close to family, she worked at Floyd medical Center in the Emergency Department while she worked on her Masters Degree. After graduating from her master’s program, she worked in Critical care and Emergency medicine, she transitioned into family practice because she recognized that patients often get fragmented care and often do not get the preventative care that they need. Connie volunteers in the community and has headed several community volunteers projects such as shop with a hero.
Connie has opened Cherokee Family Healthcare to provide personalized care to patients.
Connie resides in Cedar Bluff with her husband Jeff Harp. When she is not busy, Connie enjoys spending time with her husband and family and pets.
Gregory Mercier, DNP, CRNP, FNP-BC is a nurse practitioner working with patients age 2 and up. He provides primary care and urgent care to patients in our community. Greg approaches his practice using a patient-centered care philosophy, prioritizing the patients needs and valuing the patients input about their health. He has been in healthcare for over fifteen years and is eager to continue to serve his community helping them live longer, happier and healthier lives.
Greg was born in Florida, where he spent most of his life. After high school, he began the path towards physical therapy , however after accepting a position at Moffit Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, he decide to change career paths to nursing. He was inspired by the tremendous empathy of the nurses and he knew he wanted to deliver that same sort of compassionate care. He received a bachelors degree from the University of South Florida and worked in trauma for several years before making the decision to return to school to pursue a career as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He graduated from Florida State University in May of 2024 with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice.
He lives in Centre full time and spends his days off reading, hiking, fishing, bowling and spending time with his beautiful wife Tabita and his puppies.
